New Products

IGI introduces a set of replacement products for mineral

oils called IGI Lipid Oils.  IGI Lipid Oils are natural

vegetable oil replacements for mineral oils in cosmetic

applications.  They have been developed to give similar

viscosity profiles in creams and lotions. IGI Lipid Oils

have high amounts of saturated fatty acids in their

profile to provide similar skin feel properties to mineral

     oils.

IGI launches a new natural based vegetable derived

petrolatum replacement called Sebapet.  Sebapet mimics

the fatty acids and esters found in natural skin sebum.

Sebapet uses specifically selected vegetable oils and

natural thickeners to make a product which can be used

in applications where the moisturizing properties of

petrolatum are required but a vegetable source is

necessary.  Sebapet will find applications in creams,

lotions, lip care products, body washes and may other

applications where its occlusive properties can benefit

    the formulation.

IGI's latest addition to our line of products is Synthetic Beeswax.  IGI Synthetic Beeswax is formulated to replace beeswax in formulations where emulision stability is important.  IGI Synthetic Beeswax will provide emollent skin feel as well as good pay off in lip sticks and lip blams.

IGI has developed a repalcement for plant based Candelilla Wax.  IGI Synthetic Candelilla Wax has all the properities of Candelilla Wax but without the resin.  IGI Synthetic Candelilla Wax will give structure and gloss to lipsticks formulations.

IGI ISO-Polymers are highly branched polymers that can be used as gelling agents and film formers.  Their unique combination of high molecular weight and low melting points make them suitable for numerous cosmetic applications.

IGI introduces new hybrid petrolatum. IGI Hybrid Petrolatums are the newest innovation from our applications chemists.  They have come up with the best of both worlds.  They have taken the best qualities of petrolatum and combined it with a vegetable source.  The resulting eco-friendly products are Hybrid Petrolatums which have significantly different esthetics than conventional petrolatums.
